The death of Henry Boone, highly esteemed citizen of this community, was a severe shock to his many friends. Although sick for a few days, he underwent an operation for ruptured appendix at the hospital in Sheldon. His condition became worse and he died shortly after 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 20 at the age of 53 years.

Mr. Boone was born in the Netherlands February 3, 1880 and at the age of 3 years he came to this country with his parents, making their home in this community.

On February 3, 1909 he was united in marriage to Anne Langstraat. To this union three children were born.

Deceased was a faithful member of the Newkirk Reformed Church where funeral services were held Friday, June 23, Reverend Z. Roetman officiating; interment was made at the Newkirk Cemetery.
