Mrs. Tena Moss died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Boone, Woodbine Wednesday evening, August 17, 1955. Mrs. Moss has been confined in her bed for the past five years.

Mrs. Moss was a long time resident of Rock Valley. She was an active member of the First Reformed Church for many years.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois March 1, 1873. When she was 29 years old she moved with her parents to Rock Valley. Here she spent the remainder of her life.

She married Albert Bonthuis, March 1, 1894. He died in 1926. Nine children were born to this union, one of whom died in infancy. The children , who survive are Allen, Alice (Mrs. Henry J. Vande Weerd), Peter, Asa, Martin, Dena (Mrs. Henry Boone), Fred, and Dorothy (Mrs. Gys. Kuyper). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren.

In 1931 she married Albert Moss, who died suddenly in 1936.

Also surviving are two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Ida Johnson, Sacramento, California, Mrs. Kathryn Bonthuis, Bellflower, California, Dr. John Mulder, Salmon, Idaho, Henry Mulder, Kimberly, Idaho and Peter Mulder, Eden, Idaho.

Funeral services were held Saturday at one o’clock in the Vander Ploeg Chapel and 1:30 in the First Reformed Church with the Reverend A.A. Dykstra officiating. Interment was in Valley View Cemetery.
