Sioux Center News September 7, 1933

Mrs. Peter De Boer, mother of Mrs. Case Van Ginkel, was buried Wednesday at Hope cemetery. Services were conducted by her pastor Rev. John De Jong of Rock Rapids and by Rev. G. Dowstra of the Christian Ref. Church. The Ref. Church building could not be used since it is being redecorated at the present time.

Mrs. Peter De Boer of Rock Valley Buried Here Tues. The funeral of Mrs. Peter De Boer of Rock Valley formerly of Hull was held in Hull last Tuesday On account of the First Reformed church undergoing a thorough cleaning and being filled with scaffolding the services were held in the Christian Reformed church conducted ty Rev. G. H. Douwstra assisted by Rev,. John De Jongh of Rock Rapids. Mrs. De Boer was seventy three years old and the mother of seven children all living in the vicinity and one at Council Bluffs. Rest of obit illegible.
( According to the Sioux county headstone index her name was Lentje/Leentje born 1860 died 1933 wife of Peter buried at Hull. Further found on WieWasWie.nl Leentje was the daughter of Johannes Fokkes De Boer and Hiltje Fokkes Faber married to Peter De Boer 12 May 1888 at Kollumerland Freisland Neth. He was the son of Wietze Eerts De Boer and Antje Pieters Vander Wal ))
