Funeral services for Muriel Mae Bomgaars, 29, a resident of Rock Valley for three years, who died Thursday, October 24, at her home after a long illness, were held Monday at 1 P.M. at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Chapel and at 1:30 P.M. at the First Reformed Church.

Reverend A. A. Dykstra officiated and burial was in Hope Cemetery at Hull.

Miss Bomgaars was born April 26, 1928, at Sioux Center. She lived in the Sioux Center and Hull vicinities until three years ago.

Survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bomgaars of Rock Valley; a sister, Mrs. William Van Sloten of Hull; and three brothers, Nick of Rock Valley, Jake and Joe Jr. both of Hull.

Pallbearers were four cousins of the deceased: Lawrence Wielenga, James Wielenga, Glen Kuyper, and Arvin Bomgaars.

At the request of the family a memorial fund in her name will be established in the Children’s Retreat at Grand Rapids, Michigan. Friends wishing to contribute may contact any member of the family.
