Died: 1965William Bohlke, 74, passed away at the Sheldon Hospital Friday morning following a week’s illness of a heart attack.
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Granville, Monday morning at 10 o’clock, Reverend N.J. Becker officiating at the Requiem Mass.
He was born July 23, 1891, at Remsen, and on November 25, 1913 he was united in marriage to Mary Schneider at St. Mary’s Church, Remsen, and began farming south of Granville, until 25 years ago, when they retired and moved to Granville, where he later operated a produce station.
He is survived by the widow, 3 sons and 3 daughters, Edmund of Reading, Minnesota, James of Fort Pierre, South Dakota, Daniel of Marshalltown, (Margaret) Mrs. Arnold Beelner of Worthington, Minnesota, (Deloris) Mrs. Roman Colling of Spencer, (Maybelle) Mrs. James Kinney of Hospers, 28 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Mrs. Joseph Bunkers of Remsen, 6 brothers, Aloy and Martin of Remsen, Cletus and John of Le Mars, Fred and Alphonse of Sioux City.
Rosary was recited at Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, Saturday evening, and at Spalding Hall, Granville, Sunday evening.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Fisch Funeral Home. Pallbearers were neighbors, Ambrose Schumacher, Joseph Schumacher, Richard Meis, Robert Bachmann, Ray Budden and A.J. Schilmoeller.
