Evert "Ed" Boer, 86, of Rock Valley, died Friday at the Valley Manor Nursing Home in Rock Valley.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Porter Funeral Home at Rock Valley. The Reverend Roger Bultman officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Mr. Boer was born to Klass and Jacobje (Schreuder) Boer on November 11, 1898, in the Netherlands. He came to the United States with his family in 1903.
He was a farm laborer in the Alvord and Rock Valley areas all his life. He moved to the Valley Manor Nursing home in Rock Valley in 1977.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
