Clarence J. Boer, 69, of Rock Valley, died Friday, April 24, 1987 at a Sioux Falls, South Dakota hospital.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley. The Reverend Fred Gunnink officiating. Burial was in Valley View
Cemetery at Rock Valley. Visitation was held at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Mr. Boer was born June 24, 1917, in Sioux County. He attended rural schools.

He married Frances De Kam on May 20, 1948, in Rock Valley and the couple farmed southwest of Rock Valley. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church and served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Nelda Boer of Sioux Falls; a sister, Mrs. John (Judy) Plantage of Sioux Falls; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
