From the Alton Democrat, August 12, 1916: Rock Valley news:

Christ Schytt, who has been confined in the local hospital for several weeks, died Friday morning, August 5th, of tubercular meningitis. His mother and brother were at his bedside at the time of his passing. He was born at Houses Springs, Mo., and at the time of his death was 25 years, 7 months and 11 days old. The remains were shipped to St. Louis, Mo., Friday of last week for interment.

The 1900 U.S. census has Christian Schytt, age 8, born Missouri, living in Rock Township, Jefferson County, Missouri, with his parents Gottfred Schytt, born Germany, a farmer, and Sophia Schytt, born Missouri, and several siblings.

The surname is probably a variant of Schuette.
