Roy Davis, the son of John and Eva (Pierce) Davis, was born March 14, 1897 at Hudson, SD. He died Sunday, April 16, 1989 at the Hawarden Community Hospital in Hawarden, at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 2 days. As a child, he moved with his family to Page, NE. On April 8, 1925, he married Mary Kounovsky, at Yankton, SD. They farmed near Niobrara and Verdel, moving to Niobrara in 1967. She died June 9,1970. Mr. Davis was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Niobrara Senior Citizens. He had spent the winter months with his nephew Cameron and Verlan Davis, of Hawarden.

Survivors include one brother, Willard P. Davis, of San Marcos, CA; and sister Florence Griffith, of Helena, MT. Nieces and Nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents,
wife, two brothers and two sisters.
