From the Alton Democrat, April 21, 1933: Orange City news:

Mrs. Albert Popma passed away Friday evening, April 14, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Rozeboom, from the effects of heart trouble with which she had suffered for years. Mrs. Popma was born at Pella, coming to Sioux county in 1880. In 1875 she was married at Pella to Albert Popma who died on January 31, 1916. An active member of the Dorcas society and the First Ref. church she will be sadly missed from the circles in which she was such a valued member.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Henry Rozeboom home and at the First Ref. church. Mrs. Popma was 80 years of age. She is survived by six children, as follows: Mrs. G. Reinders and John Popma, of this place; Walter Popma, Cherokee; Frank of Boise, Idaho; William of Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Henry Rozeboom of Orange City. Mrs. Popma also leaves a sister, Mrs. C. Van Nimwegen of Merrill, who is 83 years of age; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her maiden name was Henrietta Dingeman.
