Mrs. Jacob Daniels was fatally injured at her home near Maurice on Sunday morning, May 31, by falling down the cellar stairs. She lingered in great pain until Tuesday June 2, when she passed quietly away at eight o'clock in the evening. (Maatje) Marcia Constance was born in Zeeland Netherlands on March 3, 1839, and came to this country with her parents in 1855, settling in Sheboyan Falls, WI, where she married Jacob Daniels Jan. 20, 1864. They lived for a time in Kenosha County WI, where seven children were born to them. They moved to Maurice in November, 1881, where she resided until the time of her death. She was preceded to the better country by her husband and two children, leaving five remaining children to mourn her loss.

(In 1860 census of Sheboygan Falls Sheboygan Wisconsin , Marcin Constance (Maatje Constandse) was 20 years old working for a Crandall family. After some research in www.wiewaswie.nl found the Maatje Constandse was born 3 Mar 1838 in Brouwershaven, Zeeland Netherlands to Leendert Constandse and Helena Bouman. )
