Funeral services were held at the Associated church in Hawarden at 1:30 p.m. March 3 for Mrs. Lawrence Dagle 71, of Hawarden, who died at Thousand Oaks CA, February 27 while vacationing at the home of her son Walter. Services were conducted by the Rev. Herbert Young and burial was made in Grace Hill cemetery at Hawarden.

The former Ethel Scott was born at Hawarden March 16, 1899. She was married to Lawrence Dagle of Sioux City July 14, 1919. He died July of 1964. Survivors include two sons, Chester of Emerson NE, and Walter of Thousand Oaks; a sister Mrs. Elmer Younie of Hawarden and eight grandchildren.
