Bertha Dahl, 98, Rock Valley, died Thursday, October 12,1989 at a nursing home in Tipton, Mo.
She was born Aug. 2, 1891, in Voss, Norway. She came to the Rushford, Minn., areas as an infant and was later graduated from Hayfield, Minn., High School. She attended college than taught school in Rock Valley from 1921-1925 then taught in Sioux City before moving to Seattle where she taught for 30 years. She also lived in Springfield, Mo., and in Rock Valley before moving to Tipton Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include a nephew, Henry Vernon Dahl, Jefferson City, Mo.; and two grandnephews. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 in Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley, with burial in Valley View Cemetery.
