Anton Dahl Died Friday, Dec 28

Anton Dahl passed away at El Paso Texas, Friday Dec 28, where he and his brother Norman, had gone a few month earlier. He was feeling well for a time after going there and seemed to be improving in health until a few days before his death he was taken sick with the flu which developed into double pneumonia, which was the immediate cause of his death.

The remains, accompanied by his brother, Norman, were brought back to Rock Valley for funeral services and burial, arriving here Sunday. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Rock Valley Tuesday afternoon. The services were well attended, and many beautiful floral offering were in evidence.

Anton Dahl was born at Rushford, Minn. March 17, 1900, where his early life was spent. He was confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor G. G. Belsheim at Mason City IA, where the Dahl family resided for several years before moving to Rock valley, about twelve years ago. He attended the Rock Valley high school for four years, and was a good student and won the esteem and respect of his teachers and schoolmates.

He leaves his father, L. H. Dahl, two sisters, Anna and Bertha, and four brothers Lewis, Henry, Norman and Selmer. His mother preceded in death ten years ago. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends in this vicinity.
