On January 25, 1876, Catherine Moos married Domnick Berg in Winona, Illinois.

The couple first settled in Holy Cross, Wisconsin. From 1882 - 1885 they lived in Alton and then settled in Granville.

From 1885 until her death, Catherine lived in Granville, except for three years spent in Grand Island, Minnesota.

Catherine and Domnick had seven children: Margaret Berg Winkel (Albert), Susan Berg Orr (Frank), Virginia Berg, Marie Berg Oliver (Earl), Bernard "Ben" Berg, John Berg and Henry Berg.
