Henry De Mots of Sioux Center died at a Sioux City hospital on Tuesday morning August 1st 1911. He had been sick for a long time and was taken to the hospital in the hope that an operation might give relief.

Deceased was born at Greenleafton Minnesota on February 20th 1869. He came to this country in 1883, 28 years ago and was one of Sioux Center's pioneers. In August 1892 he was united In marriage to Miss Ella Beernlnk, at Sioux Center. This union was blessed with five children, one of whom died about a year ago. The funeral services were held from the Second Reformed church on Thursday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. A. W. De Jong of Hull Iowa.

Deceased is survived, by his wife, four children—Maud, Willie, Lawrence and Leona—all at home. Three brothers—Edward of California, Gerrlt of Hull and John of Sioux Center and by three sisters -Mrs. J. A. Ogg of Orange City , Mrs. H. J. Nagle of Greenleafton Minnesota and Mrs. A. J. Konlng of Blue Earth Minnesota. The sympathy of the entire community is with the bereaved family.
