Donna Pearson, 77, Hawarden died Wednesday, Jan. 1995, at her residence. Services were held Monday, at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden with the Rev Dean Shelly of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden. Visitation was at 9 a.m. Sunday, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

She was born May 17, 1917 in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Anges (Hines) Milliken. When she was 9 she moved with her family to her grandfather's farm north of Beresford, S.D. They moved to Beresford three years later. She married John Clair Pearson, July 4, 1935 in Yankton, S.D. They lived in and around Beresford until 1944 when they moved to a farm in Union County S.D., west of Hawarden. They moved to Hawarden in 1974. He died Dec 23 1983.

Survivors include for sons, Robert and his wife Evelyn of Alexandria, Va., Larry and his wife Madelinee of Riverside, Calif., Kenneth and his wife Kathleen of Rancho Cordova, Calif, and Richard of Lincoln, Calif.; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and five step great great grandchildren She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Wilson
