Services for Edward A. McCarthy, 74, of Beaumont, TX, were held Saturday, May 28, at Immaculate conception Catholic Church. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Grammier-Obcrle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. He died Wednesday, May 24, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

A native of Hawarden, he was a longtime resident of Groves, TX, before moving to Beaumont one year
ago: He was a retired laboratory supervisor for Jefferson Chemical. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, honorary life member of Knights of Columbus No. 3491, and a U.S. Army World War II veteran!

Survivors include three sons, Edward A. McCarthy Jr., of Beaumont, John Kevin McCarthy of Houston, and Thomas Patrick McCarthy of Anchorage, AK; and a daughter, Loretta Mc- Carthy Waggoner of Anchorage; two brothers, William McCarthy of Hawarden and James McCarthy of Tolaire, CA; and nine grandchildren
