Hawarden Independent March 17, 1994

Ernest F. "Snooks" Hendricks, 76, of Chatsworth, died Wednesday, March 9, 1994, at a Sioux City hospital. Services were Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Edmond Adams officiating. Burial was in Grace.Hill Cerjietery, Hawarden. Visitation was Thursday at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mr. Hendricks was born October 12, 1917, in Union County, SD, the son of Ernest J. and Mayme (Bockelman) Hendricks. He attended the Petry Rural School and farmed in Union County. He married Violet Mangelsen Moehlmann October 19, 1977, in Cherokee. The couple made their home in Chatsworth. Mr. Hendricks was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson and his wife, Gary and Linda Moehlmann of Elk River, MN; a stepdaughter, Carol Lynch of Wall, SD; 10 step grandchildren; and five step greatgrandchildren
