Esther Jacobs, age 94 of Hopkins, MN, formerly of Hawarden, died Tuesday, May 4, 1993, at Hopkins. Services were held May 7 at Mound, MN, Rev. Eric Gustavson officiated. Burial was in Union Cemetery
at Mound.

Mrs. Jacobs was born June 29, 1898, at Minneapolis, daughter of Edward and Elaine Troseth. She married William Jacobs and lived at Hawarden from 1942-53, where they ran a nursing home. She later did nursing care in various cities. Mr. Jacobs died December15, 1967.

Survivors include three sons, Edward and his wife Lorna of Glen wood City, MN, James and his wife Jackie of Hawarden and Ray of Fairbault, MN; four daughters, Anita Lu Watson of Mound, Mrs. Conrad (Devonne) Jarosch of St. Paul, MN, Mrs. Harry (Jacquelyn) Rippe of Excelsior, MN and Mrs. Lewis (Joelymie) Miller of Grand Junction, CO; three sisters, Clara Jacobs, Elenor Michaelson and Norma O'Brian; 46 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren and six greatgreat- grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Jewell Arnold and Juanita Dague, five sons, Virgil, Elmer, Allen, Obert and William, four . grandchildren, Paul Miller, Terrance Jacobs, Marlow Waterman and Mark Jacobs, and a great-grandchild, Elise Eilts.
