Jana Lynn Hartman, 52, Sioux City, died Tuesday, August 15, 1989, in a Sioux City Hospital after a brief illness. Services were Friday, August 18, in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Kirshen A. Persaud, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in Nora Cemetery, rural Alcester, SD.

Mrs. Hartman, the former Jana Lynn Cain, was born January 6,1937, in Iowa City, the daughter of Charles and Vera (Graham) Cain. She was raised in Hawarden and graduated from Hawarden High School in. 1955. On June 24, 1955, she married Donald L. Hartman, in Hawarden. The couple lived in Rapid City, SD, for two years before moving to Sioux City. Mrs. Hartman was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael, of South Sioux City, and Gary of Walnut Creek, CA; a daughter, Mrs. Doug (Kathy) Jensen, of Alcester, SD; a brother, Jim of Frisco, CO; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) DeRemer, of Sioux City and Mrs. Kendall (Judy) Peters, of Des Moines, five grandchildren, Patrick, Jillian and Megan Hartman and Zachary and Seth Jensen. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Dean Patrick.
