Marion "Mimi" Visser
Marion Visser, 91, of Rock Rapids and formerly of Hawarden, died Thursday, August 31, at the hospital in Rock Rapids. Services were Sunday, September 3, at the Congregational United Church of Christ, of Rock Rapids. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery, in Rock Rapids.

Mrs. Visser, the former Marion Link, was born September 9, 1897, in Rock Rapids. She grew up there and graduated from Rock Rapids High School. She married Laurence Finnerty in 1914 in Rock Rapids. He died in 1919. She married Henry Visser February 24, 1928, in Chicago. They lived in Rock Rapids until 1935, when they moved to Hawarden. Henry died in 1973. In 1985, Marion moved to the Lyon Manor Care Center, in Rock Rapids.

Survivors include three grandsons, five great-grandchildren and one sister, Hazel Linkenheil, of Rock Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a daughter, a son, a brother and a sister.
