From the Alton Democrat, October 9, 1915: Rock Valley news:

Mrs. G. D. Postma, aged widow of the late G. D. Postma, died at her home in Rock Valley Tuesday evening September 28, in the seventy-ninth year of her age, due to the infirmities of old age. Since the death of her companion she found a home with her son John who tenderly cared for her, and administered to her every want. Funeral services occurred at the First Reformed church Friday afternoon of last week, conducted by the pastor, Rev. B. De Jonge, in the presence of many sympathizing neighbors and friends, after which she was laid to rest in Valley View cemetery. She leaves to mourn her departure five sons, John, Ben, Richard and Harry of Rock Valley, and William Postma of Monroe, Ia. The bereaved have the sympathy of the community in their hour of sorrow.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has Postma, Siebe, b. 10 Jan 1836 d. 28 Sep 1915 Mother Valley View Cem Rock Valley. Her husband's obituary (posted separately) gives his fuller name, her maiden surname, and a longer Dutch forename.
