From the Rock Valley Bee, August 28, 1914:

Mrs. Wm. Schultz died at her home in Orange City Wednesday morning of last week [Aug. 19] following an operation for cancer. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hospers and was born in Orange City in 1873 where she had lived all her life. She leaves her husband and three children. Funeral services were held at Orange City Friday.

From the Alton Democrat, August 22, 1914: What's Doing at the County Seat:

Mrs. W. W. Schultz left last week for Pella where she spent a few days at the home of her sister, Mrs. A. P. Kuyper. On Monday she went to Des Moines and was joined there that day by her husband. On Tuesday she underwent an operation for cancer and on Wednesday morning at six o'clock she passed away. The deceased was forty-one years of age. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hospers, both of whom died some years ago. She is survived by her husband and three children, Frederick, Dorothy and Warner; and by her brothers, Peter Hospers, Rev. Gerrit Hospers, Rev. Henry Hospers, and Isaac Hospers; and by her sisters, Mrs. A. Smeenk, Mrs. Rosendal, Mrs. Duiker, Mrs. A. P. Kuyper and Miss Hendrina Hospers. The body arrived from Des Moines Thursday.
