Wife of Former Resident Dies at Sioux City Saturday

Funeral services were held for Mrs. John Hendriks of Sioux City on Tuesday, October 31, at the Anderson funeral home in Sioux City. Burial was made in Memorial park at Sioux City. Mrs. Hendriks died on Saturday, after a lingering illness. The deceased was the wife of John Hendriks, formerly of Rock Valley. They were married on May 20, 1931, at Coleridge, NE. She is survived by her husband, and two sons, Lowell Hoeck of Sioux City and, Wayne Hoeck of Seattle WA. by a previous marriage, six step-children, Mrs. Clarence Kempema of Rock Valley, Dick Hendriks of Inwood, Bert Hendriks of Sheldon, John Hendriks of Omaha, Mrs. Earl Long of Denver, CO.and Mrs.Milton Gumper of Hermann, Mo., one grandchild, and 19 step grandchildren.

I just read this obit for Mrs. John Hendricks.
I believe she is Zenith Kolb Hoeck b. April 23, 1895 and d. 1950. She married John Hendricks in 1932.

She was married first to Thomas Hoeck on Jan. 29, 1919. They had two sons: Lowell Hoeck & Wayne Hoeck.
