From the Rock Valley Bee, July 24, 194:

Mrs. Riley, mother of T. W. Riley, died Tuesday, July 21, aged eighty-three years. She was born in Ireland and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dooley. Funeral services were held Thursday morning. Further particulars next week.

From the Alton Democrat, July 25, 1914: Rock Valley news:

Mrs. Mary Riley, mother of Thomas W. Riley, of this place died Tuesday morning in the eighty-fourth year of her age. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Thursday morning conducted by the pastor, Father O'Rielly. Interment took place in the Catholic cemetery south of town.

Iowa Select Deaths and Burials on Ancestry.com has Mary Dooley Riley, widowed, age 83, born 10 Nov 1831, Ireland, died 21 July 1914, Rock Valley, Iowa, buried Rock Valley 23 July 1914; father John Dooley, mother Margaret Flannogan.

Her tombstone in St. Marys Cemetery (Findagrave.com) says Mary Reilly, 1831-1914. The Sioux County Cemetery Index has her surname as Reilly/Rielly.

She was not definitively located in the 1910 U.S. census.
