Josephine A. Jones, 74, of Hawarden, died Thursday, April 13, at Morningside Manor, in Alcester. Services were Saturday, April 15 at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home, in Hawarden with the Rev, Fredrich Mellberg officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery, in Hawarden. Pallbearers were Larry Watkins, John Jongma, Stan Jongma, Chad Jones, Michael Jongma, and Douglas Twedt.

Mrs. Jones, the former Josephine Briggs, was born March 15, 1915, at Sulfer Springs, SD, and attended the Hawarden Public School. She married William Henry Jones, October 15,1940, in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Hawarden. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Hawarden Senior Citizens.

Survivors include one son, James and his wife, Esther, of Sioux City; and three grandchildren, Chad, Monte, and Emily.
