Julia A. Palmer, 93, died Monday, June 12, 1989, in a nursing home in Sioux City after a long illness. Services were Thursday, June 15, in Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel with the Rev. Susan Miller, of First Christian Church officiating. Burial was in Logan Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Palmer, the former Julia A. Stoltenbetg, was born August 18, 1895, in Hawarden. She attended Hawarden schools and graduated from Drake University with a degree in education. She was a school teacher in Spokane, WA for several years prior to moving to Sioux City in 1941, She married Paul J. Palmer August 8, 1942, in Sioux City. He died September 18, 1956, in Sioux City. Mrs. Palmer was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. A memorial has been established in her name with the First Christian Church.
