Mable L. Pedersen, 87, of Hawarden, died Wednesday, October 5, 1988, at Colonial Manor Rest Home, in Hudson, SD. Services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 7, 1988 at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, at Eagle Grove.

Mable L. Pedersen, the daughter of Anton and Augusta Barnt Jensen, was born at Eagle Grove, October 3, 1901. She graduated from school at Eagle Grove and then attended Nursing School at Des Moines and Chicago, IL. She was night supervisor and nursing instructor in Chicago. On September 29, 1919 she was united in marriage to Louis Lawrence Lindsay at Chicago. She continued to work in nursing until moving to Eagle Grove in 1943. She was employed in a doctors office in Eagle Grove until her retirement in 1966. Louis preceded, her in death in January, 1965.

In January, 1966, she married Arthur Bennett, in Chicago. He also preceded her in death in January, 1972. She then married Chris Pedersen November, 1974 in Humboldt. After his death in June 1981, she continued to live there until moving to Hawarden in 1985. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hawarden, a long-time mernber of the Order of the Eastern Star and Past Matron of the Sharon Shrine of Eagle Grove.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. James (Bonnie) Bean of Flandreau, SD, Mrs. Arnold (Maryellen) Hanson of Story City, and Mrs. Harold (Dixie) Janssen of Ireton; one sister, Mrs. Bernard (Alice) Christensen of Eagle Grove; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. The casket bearers were: Robert Foster, Lance Jensen, David Jensen, Marty Jensen, Dan Janssen and Lowell Eikmeier.
