Frances French Cavin, age 84, of San Marcos, CA, died October 14, 1988. Born in Hawarden, she was a daughter of Charles and Harriet Metcalf French. She graduated from Hawarden High School in 1922 and taught the Shoemaker School after graduating. She later taught in Hull. She moved to El Centre, CA later and graduated from San Diego State College, and then taught school in California. She married Neil Cavin and lived in San Diego.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Warren and Ralph French. She is survived by one son, James of Burlington, VA and a sister, Esther Gregg, of San Marcos, CA, two grandsons in California and several nephews.
