Evelyn Koerner, '57, of Holtville, CA, a former Ireton resident, died Nov. 8,1988, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Holtville, CA. Services were held at Holtville, CA, Nov. 14, with burial at Terrace Park Cemetery, in Holtville, CA.

Mrs. Koerner was born Feb. 1,1931, at Ireton to Herman and Sophia (Janssen) Wessels, where she was raised and received her education. She married Dale Koerner at Le Mars. They moved to Holtville, CA in 1952, where she made her home.

Survivors include six children, Cheri, Monica, Clark, Dalyn, Rhonda and Cary; a brother, Leonard Wessels of Le Mars; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Alma) Westergard, of Hawarden and Mrs. Leonard (Bernice) Dixon, of Benicia, CA; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, her parents. and a brother, Armin.
