Mary K. White, 80, of Hawarden, died Friday, Aug. 16,2002 at the Hawarden Community Hospital. Funeral Mass was Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawarden with the Rev. LeRoy Seuntjens officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery, Hawarden. Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary K. White was born Feb. 6,1922 at Williams, Iowa to Lewis and Teresa (Hofer) Hill. She married Elmer White on May 26,1937 at Yankton, South Dakota. They made their home in Hawarden, where she was employed as a supervisor at Otis Radio. She later worked at K-Products and then the Hawarden Senior Citizens Center. Mr. White died on Dec. 29,1982.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy of Ingbert, West Germany and James of Orange City; four daughters, Marjorie Hogle of Ashland, Nebraska, Delores Koehler of Hawarden, Kathy Chandler of El Paso, Texas and Sherry Johnson of Hawarden; three sisters, Bonnie Von Hagel of Akron, Betty Deirks of Reedsport and Patricia Kaskie of Battle Lake, Minnesota; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy; brothers, John, Bill and Jim; and sisters, Matie Renken, Geraldine Koopsma and Rose Huebner.
