John C. Peters, 92, a resident of Sun City, CA, died Monday, July 4, 1988, at Sun City.
Memorial services will be held at Dow Funeral Home, in Hawarden, Monday, August 15 at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. He was the son of Claus and Susanna (Klumb) Peters, and was born on August 29,1896, in Union County, SD. In 1906 his family moved to Sioux County, where he lived as a young man.

Mr. Peters was a Veteran of World War I, and had resided in Sioux City for many years, where he worked for the State of Iowa. He was married to Pearl Clemensen on August 21, 1962, in Sioux City. The last years of his life were spent in Mesa, AZ; Salinas, CA; and Sun City, CA, where he lived after retirement.

Survivors are his wife, Pearl; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Elizabeth) Oehmen, of Sioux Falls, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl; and a sister, Mrs. Norton (Florence) Jamieson
