Alma Miller, 91, Of Rock Valley, died Wednesday, August 10,1988, in a Sioux Falls hospital.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 1988 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rock Valley with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Burial was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery in rural Sioux Center.

Mrs. Miller, the former Alma Wegner, was born January 31, 1897, near Gladbrook. When she was a child, she moved with her family to a farm near Hawarden. She went to school, near Hawarden and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. She married Wesley F. Miller January 26, 1921, in Hawarden. Together they farmed southwest of Rock Valley until retiring and moving into Rock Valley in 1951. Mr. Miller died on March 1, 1986. She moved to the Valley Manor Nursing Home in February of 1987. Mrs. Miller was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gordon of rural Rock Valley and Dr. Glenn of Bloomington, ID; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Elaine) Beumer of Rock Valley; a brother, Will Wegner of Hudson, SD; three sisters, Mrs. Hilda Henningsen of Grundy Center, Miss Irene Wegner of Hawarden and Mrs. Lawrence (Emma) Eilts of Ireton; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jurgen and Anna (Duge) Wegner, and three brothers, Louis, Albert and Walter Wegner.
