Richard Moeller, 95, of Hawarden, died Tuesday, September 13, 1988 in Mass Hillcrest Care Center. Services Were 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 1988 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton. Casket bearers were: Alvin Dean Lange, Gerrit Marra, Darret Bonnema, Dale Bonnema, Greg Ellingson and Kenneth Campbell.

Mr. Moeller, the son of Martin and Tina Zimmerman Moeller, was born on August 25, 1893 in Sioux County near Ireton. He was baptized on September 3,1893 and confirmed on April 4, 1909 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton. On May 30, 1915 he was united in marriage to Nellie Brandt at Ireton. After their marriage he continued to farm in the Ireton area. After his wife preceded him in death on December 23, 1952 he moved into Hawarden in 1954 where he resided until his death. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, of Ireton.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Frances) Lange, of Rock Rapids and Mrs. Richard (Leora) Bonnema, of Inwood; one daughter-inlaw, Marian Moeller, of Hawarden; ten grandchildren, twenty-two greatgrandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren He was also preceded in death by one son, Marlin.
