DEATH OF DICK JONGSMA

Dick Jongsma died at one of the hospitals in Sioux City at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening [March 3]. He had not been well for several weeks past and continued to fail rapidly until he was taken to Sioux City Friday for an operation. The operation was performed as soon as he arrived there, but the doctors did not give much hope for his recovery. A message was received Tuesday morning that he could not live. We are not in possession of further particulars other than that the remains were taken to Edgerton, Minn., where the funeral services were to be held. The deceased had lived in and around Rock Valley for the past few years. He was a young man who was well thought of by all his acquaintances, and he had many friends in this vicinity who are grieved to learn of his untimely death.
