Funeral services for Robert J. White, 69, lifelong Hawarden, Iowa, resident who died at the Panska Nursing Home Friday, were held at 2:00pm Monday afternoon at the Bernard Funeral Home. Reverend Paul Williams of the First Baptist Church officiated with burial in Grace Hill cemetery.

Mr. White was born February 21, 1890, in Hawarden, Iowa. He married Jenny McDonald of Hawarden, Iowa, Jenny preceded him in death, from injuries sustained in a hit and run car accident; while walking home after a dance; in 1934. Mr. White farmed for a time and later acted as city drayman.

Survivors include 5 daughters: Mrs. William, (Bernice) Biesbrock, Wayland, Michigan, Mrs. David (Mary Jane) Blomberg of Akron, Iowa, Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Shepphard of Reith, Oregon, Mrs Vergil (Marilyn) Jacobs of Hawarden and Mrs. Robert (Virginia "Jeanie") Lanning of Elk Point, South Dakota, 3 sons; Elmer "Bud", John "Jack" of Hawarden, Iowa, and Robert "Bob" of Sioux City, Iowa; 3 sisters: Sylvia Hart and Florence Sullivan both of Great Falls, Montana, and Mrs. Ruth Wells of Doland, South Dakota; 28 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny: and his daughter, Betty.
