John Koob Services for John P. Koob, 77, of Mesa, AZ, were 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 1987, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mesa, AZ. Burial was in Sun Memorial Park, Chandler, AZ.
Mr. Koob, a native of Luxembourg, died Friday, December 11, 1987. He moved to Arizona 30 years ago from Hawarden. He was the owner and operator of a vineyard in Chandler and owned John's Independent Grocery, in Hawarden. He was in the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, Dennis, of San Diego; daughters Sharon Navratil, of Chicago Heights, IL, and Susan Ostrander, of Mesa; sister, Margaret Ristow, of Iowa; brother Joseph, of Iowa; and three grandchildren.
