Curtis Wayne Worrell, 23, of Hawarden, died Saturday, August 22, 1987, of injuries suffered in a two-car accident west of Hawarden. Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, in the American Lutheran Church in Hawarden. Rev. Jalmer Eldal and Rev. Robert Hansen officiated. Graveside services were at 1:30 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery in Albaton under direction of Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mr. Worrell was born September 23, 1963, in Sioux City. He attended grade school in Sioux Falls, SD, and graduated from West Sioux High School in Hawarden in 1982. He completed the truck driving course at Western Iowa Tech Community College in 1982 and was employed by Dubuque Packing Co. of Le Mars. Mr. Worrell was a member of American Lutheran Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles of Hawarden.

Survivors include his parents, Lee and Mary Lou Worrell of Horseshoe Bend, AR; a brother, Michael of Brandon, SD, and a sister, Mrs. Gene (Chris) Cook of Sioux City. Pallbearers were Duane Reineke, Dave Hermanson, Marty Maher, Ryan Maher, Dan Van Ballegooyen and Shane Waterman.
