Mrs. William Schwiesow died Saturday, August 29, 1987, in a hospital in Santa Ana, CA, following a long illness. Services were Tuesday, September 1, at the Inglewood Mortuary with burial there. Mrs. Schwiesow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wood, was born May 5, 1906, at Merrill. She and William were married January 25, 1929, in Le Mars. They lived in the Hawarden and Chatsworth area and Nettie taught school in rural Plymouth County. They moved to California in 1953 and in 1975 moved to Mesa, AZ. They returned to California in February of this year so the daughters could help care for their mother.

She is survived by her husband, William; three sons, William of Omaha, NE; Marlin of Sylmar, CA; and Ralph of Oxnard, CA; two daughters, Charlene Holder of Santa Ana, CA, and Crystal Newman of Mission Hills, CA; one sister, Eva Easton of Merrill; and one brother, Emerson Wood of Leadville, AR. Her husband now lives with their daughter, Charlene, at 2901 Cubbon, Santa Ana, CA 92704.
