Mrs. Reuben Buchmann, 80, of Chatsworth, died Monday, August 31, 1987, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Chatsworth. Rev. Marvin Mueller and Rev. George Dahl officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Akron under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Mrs. Buchmann, the former Elfreda L. Werning, was born September 25, 1906, in Clayton, SD. She married Reuben Buchmann March 2,1930, in Clayton. The couple lived for many years in Clayton and Akron area before moving to Chatsworth in 1972. He died in 1975. She had been living with a daughter in Sioux City the last five years. Mrs. Buchmann was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Peter (Lydia) Anderson of Hawarden and Mrs. Marvin (Esther) Mullinnex and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Wood, both of «Sioux City; a son, Harold of Vermillion, SD; two sisters, Mary Guericke of Parkston, SD, and Emma Harnisch of Wall, SD; seven grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
