Verna Miller, 72, of Le Mars, died Saturday, August 29, 1987, at a LeMars nursing home. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 31, at St. John's American Lutheran Church in Le Mars with Rev. Tom Lee officiating. Burial was in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery under direction of Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mrs. Miller, the former Verna Lund, was born September 20, 1914, in Fredonia Township, Plymouth County. She married Herman Miller on November 9, 1937, at Marcus and the couple fanned in Fredonia Township until their retirement in 1976, when they moved into Le Mars. She was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Linda) Chapman of Meridan, and Mrs. Rodney (Janet) Matz of Hawarden; a son, Rev. Curtis of Storm Lake; a brother, Donald, of Le Mars; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild
