Rites for Henry Blankespoor Held Here on Monday

Funeral services for Henry Blankespoor, 58, of Denver, Colo., were held at the Evertt Blankespoor home at 1:30 and at 2:00 p.m. in the Christian Reformed church in Rock Valley, Monday, April 17, with Dr. Herman Kuiper
officiating.
Mr. Blankespoor died at his home in Denver on April 12 after an illness, due to cancer. A short funeral service was held in the Second Christian R e f o r m e d church in Denver, with Rev. Ouwinga, officiating.

Mr. Blankespoor was born at Barneveld, Netherlands, on July 24, 1891, and came to this country in 1901. In 1917 he married Minnie Harmelink at Rock Valley, who died in 1919. In 1924 he was married to Gertrude Nyhuis at Sheboygan, Wis., and moved to a farm at Perkins Corner.
Because of ill health they moved to Denver, Colo., in the fall of 1934. He spent a few years at Bethesda sanitorium and the
last three years at his home in Denver.
Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his passing four brothers, Maas of Sioux Center, John of Doon, Everet and Gys both of Rock Valley, and three sisters Jennie (Mrs. John Vanderbilt )of Plymouth, Ohio, Hattie (Mrs. John Koedam) of Hull, and Grace (Mrs. Garrit Van't Hul) of Rock Valley, and several nephews and nieces.
