Renetta Bouwman, 80, died Sunday, February 14, 1993 at the Fellowship Village in Inwood.

Renetta De Young was born March 15, 1912, in Ireton, IA. She attended Ireton Christian School. She moved with her family to a farm near Estelline in 1924.

She married William Bouwman on Sept. 13, 1933, in Rock Rapids, IA. He died on Jan. 8, 1981. They farmed in the Alvord, IA, Lester, IA, Hills, MN and Castlewood areas, until they retired and moved to Inwood in 1965. She moved to the Fellowship Village on June 21, 1989.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church and Martha Circle in Inwood.

Survivors include four sons: Walter and his wife, Joan of Artesia, CA; A. James and his wife, Esther, and Bill and his wife, Carol, all of Rock Valley, IA, and John and his wife, Paula, of Austin, TX; five daughters: Mrs. Vernon (Annette) Wiese of Sioux Falls; Mrs. Fred (Anna) Tilstra of Luverne, MN; Mrs. Gerrit (Martina) Van den Brink of Colton; Mrs. Alvin (Edith "Dolly") Hoogendoorn of Larchwood, IA, and Mrs. Ronald (Angela) Faber of Inwood; 33 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; one brother, Fred of Brookings; three sisters: Susan Verhoek of Volga,; Catherine Rosenbohm of Norwalk, CA, and Angela Huddleston of Moreno Valley, CA; and one daughter-in-law, Sarah Bouwman of Brandon.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Reformed Church in Inwood, with burial in Hillside Cemetery in Lester.

Porter Funeral Home in Inwood was an charge of arrangements.
