Fred Cox, 52, who was born October 1, 1911, at Hawarden, died May 1, at a San Gabriel, California Hospital following a heart attack.

Funeral services were held May 5, at Monterey Park and interment was at Whittier, California.

He married Sybil Peterson of Vermillion September 11, 1935. They moved to California in 1937, making their home in Los Angeles and then Monterey Park.

Mr. Cox served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Gianinni Brothers until the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Cox and an older brother, Edwin.

Survivors include the widow, Sybil of 1165 Pellon Way, Monterey Park and an aunt, Mrs. Eva Edson of Alcester.
