Funeral services for Lars H. Dahl, 92, were held in the Methodist
church Monday, February 20, with Rev. M. L. Jones officiating
Pallbearers were J. P.Schutt Gerrit De Bruin, Gerrit
Van Surksum, E. J. Swier, Gys Kuyper and Rich Vande Vegte.
Interment was made in the Valley View cemetery.
Mr. Dahl passed away at his home in Rock Valley on Feb. 16, 1950.
Mr. Dahl was born at Voss, Norway January 29, 1858. On May 11, 1888, he married Bertha Opheim.
Mr. and Mrs. Dahl and two children came to the United States in 1891 and settled in Minnesota for some time.
They moved to Iowa in. 1912, and to Rock Valley in January, 1918. He has made his home here since that time.

He was a member of the United Lutheran Church.
His wife and four children, Irving, Anton, Norman and My preceded him in death.
Surviving his passing are his three sons, Lewis and Selmer of Rock Valley, and Henry of Hull; two daughters, Anna, of Rock Valley, and Bertha of Seattle, Wash. and one grandchild.
