Percy S. Bradford of Eagle Grove, former resident of Hawarden, passed away at his home Friday, September 9th, following a lingering illness of six months.

Funeral services were held at his home Sunday, September 11th, with Reverend Albert S. Kilbourn in charge. Interment was made in Eagle Grove.

Percy Sidney Bradford was born at Scranton, Iowa, July 18, 1879, and passed away in Eagle Grove September 9, 1932, at the age of 53 years, 1 month and 21 days. His early years were spent at Scranton and at the age of 18 years he located at Eagle Grove. For many years he followed the carpenter trade with is father in Eagle Grove. In 1911 he entered the employ of the Chicago & North Western Railway Company and passed the examination for engineer in 1915. The family made their home in Hawarden for four years, returning to Eagle Grove three or four years ago where he lived continuously since that time.

He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth (Maxwell) Bradford and one son, Ray E. Bradford, and two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Johnson and Mrs. Evelyn Kinder, all of whom live in Omaha. He also leaves to mourn his death his aged mother, four brothers and a sister.

For many years he was a member of the B. of L.F. and E. and the Woodmen of the World.
