Double funeral services will be held at the American Reformed Church in Orange City at 10 a.m. today, Thursday for two young Orange City women Miss Cynthia Ann Rowenhorst, 20 and Miss Jennifer Kay Kraai, 16 who were fatally injured Monday afternoon in a car-truck collision two miles east of Ritter at an intersection of two O'Brien county roads.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Alvin A. Hook and burial will be made in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.
Miss Rowenhorst was driver of the car and Miss Kraai was a passenger.
The car collided with a truck loaded with propane gas driven by Robert Lee Hulley, 37, of Sheldon who is being treated at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Sioux City for injuries suffered in the mishap. His condition was described Wednesday as fair.
According to the report of officials who investigated the accident the car apparently failed to stop for a stop sign and was hit broadside by the truck.
Miss Rowenhorst is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Rowenhorst of Orange City and is survived by her parents and a brother, Jim, at home.
Miss Kraai is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn Kraai and two brothers, Gerald M. of Sioux City and Daniel of Orange City.
Miss Rowenhorst was born May 28, 1951 in Orange City and would have been a junior this fall at Denver University.
Miss Kraai was born January 12, 1955 in Orange City. She would have been a junior this fall at Maurice-Orange City High School.
