Died: August 24, 1926James L. Woodside, former well known Hawarden resident, died at his home in Sioux City shortly before noon Tuesday. He had been suffering from heart trouble for about three months.
Mr. Woodside was born October 11, 1869, in Pennsylvania so was in his 57th year. He came to Hawarden with his mother as a young man and for a good many years was employed as a tinner in various Hawarden hardware stores. He also was engaged in the hardware business for a time at Akron. He left here more than twenty years ago and for the past nineteen years has been employed in the stock department of the Crane Company. He was a member of the Congregational Church in Sioux City.
He married Grace Melius of Akron who survives him. He is also survived by one son, Ralph C. Woodside, secretary of the Citizens Industrial Loan Company in Sioux City, and one brother, Roy E. Woodside of Long Beach, California.
His many old Hawarden friends learned with sincere regret of his death and will extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family.
