Funeral services were held Sat. at the St. Paul's Lutheran church for Theodore Krieger, 15 year old son of Rev. and Mrs. W. H. Krieger of Ireton, who died at home of his parents on Wed. at 10 p.m. following several years sickness with an obscure disease who followed a siege of pneumonia.

Teddy, as he was known to all of his friends and acquaintances, was universally loved. He was a member of the 8th grade graduating class of 1938 and made plans to enter high school this fall when failing health prevented. He became critically ill two weeks ago and steadily failed until the end. Beside his bereaved parents he is survived by three sisters, Lois, Eleanor and Helen, and two brothers, Robert and Herbert; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. E. Lipke, and his paternal grandmother, who reside in Waterloo.

The Rev. C. Burkhard of Hawarden, Rev. H. Berner of St. John's Lutheran Church of Reading township, and Rev. C. Runge of Sioux City had charge of the services. The remains were interred in the Lutheran cemetery here. Following the funeral, Rev. Krieger was called to Waterloo by the critical illness of his mother.
P.S. The spelling of Krieger was also spelled Kreiger in the news article. but the gravestone photo on Iowa Grave is Krieger
